RCIA RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which people gradually come to meet Jesus Christ, to form a relationship with him in the midst of brothers and sisters who share this faith, and experience conversion of heart and action. It is the name we give to a series of periods and steps that mark a person's journey to Christ in the Catholic Christian community. The process can take as long as it needs to take in order for a person to experience conversion and come a sense of belonging within this community of faith. There is no set time frame for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Every person is different, and so every process of coming to faith is different.
