Baptism is the basis of our Christian life. It is the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn into a life of Christ to be sharers in His mission. It is the beginning of a spiritual journey... incorporating us into the church, a faith community which invites us to journey together.
Baptism BAPTISM PREPARATION TEAM
To instruct Parents and God Parents in the Rite of Baptism otherwise known as the Sacrament of Initiation and/or the Sacrament of Faith. To familiarize Parents and God Parents as to their role in the celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism. To provide a clear understanding of the signs and symbols used in the celebration of the Sacrament. To bring Parents and God Parents to a deeper understanding of the Sacrament in relation to their children and themselves. To recognize the importance of Baptism as being a life time event and not simply one moment in the life of the child.
