USHERS AND COLLECTORS

Ushers greet people and help them to feel welcome in our parish. They ensure that certain elements of our celebration go smoothly, for example, the collection and procession with gifts, and the communion procession.

What people involved in this ministry do:

Ushers greet people at the entrance to the church, and help them to feel welcome in our parish. At certain Masses, they may also help people to find a seat and ensure that the Communion procession goes smoothly. They also collect the offerings from parishioners before the Presentation of the Gifts, and then organize the Procession with the Gifts. After Mass, ushers distribute the parish bulletin. When extra seating is needed, ushers help to place the chairs.

How to become involved in this ministry:

Speak to any usher or member of the Knights of Columbus if you would like to be an usher/collector.
